A huge well done to our school community for their generous donations to our local St Vincent de Paul Food Drive. The Student Council organised the event and presented the food items to members of the SVP this week. Thanks also to Barry’s Tea, and Wiisteam for their kind.
Kate and Amanda seized the chance to explore future careers at UCC’s College of Medicine and Health during the Healthcare 4 You event!
The Ty music students and trad group played and sang for the residents in the windmills nursing home Churchtown on Tuesday. The also did a concert in Mallow hospital that was live streamed to all the wards and waiting rooms. They had a great day spreading some festive cheer in the local community.
On behalf of the six girls travelling to Kolkata next March, we would like to thank
the stewards for helping out on the day of the run, the companies and businesses who helped us out for the event and who also sponsored our lovely spot prizes, the many tractors, trucks and vintage cars and their drivers that took part in the run and the public for coming out and supporting us.
While our Mini Company crew were busy making sales at the Marina Market, the rest of the TY gang had their own epic day of fun! From karaoke and dancing to word games, sports, and drama, there was something for everyone. Huge thanks to our superstar teachers for bringing the energy and making it all happen!
Well done to our TY Mini company students who visited the Marina Market last week. From handmade goodies to creative products, they rocked the trade fairs and pop-up stalls like pros.

Huge thanks to Colette from Cork College FET for visiting our TY classes today! She gave us the inside scoop on CAO options, college courses, apprenticeships, and how to kick-start your future career.
In October, three 5th year students Freya, Elaine and Lily along with Mr Curtin travelled to Nanjing and Shanghai in China for a once in a lifetime trip, after winning the Meihua Cup Competition in TY.
Our TY and music students had a drum-tastic bodhrán workshop, packed with rhythmic games and lively patterns to accompany some favourite pop tunes.
TY students recently took part in a Physical Education workshop with Eoin Joy from Athena Analytics.
Last week we welcomed six students and two teachers to the Coláiste from China - the winners of the Shamrock Cup.
Many thanks to Garry Lowe from the Student Enterprise Programme and Whizzkids training for facilitating a very informative workshop to TY Business students this week.
First and transition year students had an outstanding day Thursday at Ballyhass Lakes. They spent time with their ‘buddies’ getting to know each other a little better.
TYs had a great day out last week at Ben’s surf clinic in Lahinch to start off their year bonding with their new class mates 🏄🏻♀️🏄♂️
Last week the TY class enjoyed a fantastic day of Leadership, Team Development and Goal Setting with Mr. David Collins from The Fundamentals.
A huge warm welcome to our 1st Year Students who started with us last week. On the first day they met their TY buddy - our fantastic TY students played games with their assigned 1st year student and ensured they felt welcome.
TY students received a plethora of Certificates from courses and workshops they took part in throughout the year at their graduation.
Our TYs had an incredible two days in Kenmare for their end of year trip at the start of the week. Big thank you to Ben for the video editing! What an amazing year!!
During the year some of our TY's took part in a program to learn more about & raise awareness of Alzheimer's & Dementia in our school.
Huge congratulations to Glimmer who took part in the National NFTE Foróige Finals last Wednesday in Croke Park.
Well done to our four TY students Aoibhinn, Finn, Noah & Michaela who embarked on their Camino journey last week with @clionasfoundation They raised over €4000 for the charity & walked 120km from Sarria to Santiago de Compostela.
Huge congratulations to Lily O Callaghan, Elaine Thompson and Freya O Riordan who won the annual Meihua Cup Chinese Language competition today. Great achievement.
Many thanks to Caroline Casey Road Safety Officer with @corkcountycouncil, emergency services & all the incredible speakers for a very impactful & informative road safety presentation in Mallow Racecourse on Thursday 1st May.
