Well done to 2nd Year Home Economics students on completing their tie-dye projects, even the sunshine appeared to help display them!! 😎🌈

Some of our music students that sang and played as part of The Big Busk for Focus Ireland in Kent Station on Friday were featured by EchoLive.ie which included great photos and videos of our students.

Congratulations to our Under 16 Hurling Team on their 6 point win yesterday. Beating Dunmanway Community College 2-15 to 2-09.

The staff of our school are taking part in a charity “Climb with Charlie” walk in the Ballyhouras on Saturday April 2nd. We would be delighted to be joined on the charity walk with our school Community.

Thanks to the students who provided some music at break time on Thursday. It provided a lovely atmosphere around the Coláiste. Well done to all involved - every one of the performers sounded fab!

Another great win yesterday for our 1st Yr girls Basketball team. They beat Colaiste Treasa, Kanturk on a score of 47-17. Great team work again today girls. Well Done 🏀🏀

A group of TY students have embarked on selling training jerseys which are being made available to all students in Coláiste Mhuire. On Thursday the 10th of March and Tuesday the 15th of March at small break, orders will be taken for the training jerseys.

On Thursday 10th February the Chief Executive of Cork ETB, Mr Denis Leamy, and the Director of Schools, Mr Pat McKelvey, visited the Coláiste. Upon arrival they were greeted by our Student Council and a variety of students provided some beautiful musical entertainment.

Congratulations to our senior girls who beat Scoil Ruain Killenaule 6-10 to 3-1 in the Munster Quarter Final in Ballygiblin GAA at the start of this week. A Munster Semi-Final awaits them after the midterm break.

Commiserations to our 1st year Girls Football team losing out in the County Quarter Final to a strong Coachford College team Tuesday. Playing through wet and windy conditions, the girls battled hard and should be proud of their efforts. The girls will be busy in the coming weeks with blitzes set to take place, and we wish them the best of luck! Also a special thank you to our TY’s for helping out!

A big well done to our 1st yr girls Basketball team who made the short trip to Charleville to play St. Mary's yesterday. They opened the scoring & carried on to play great basketball. We went into the 2nd quarter down but the girls rallied and dominated the rest of the game and came out after a tough 4 quarters the winners on a score of 29-35. Well Done girls 🏀🏀🏀

Commiserations to our Senior Camogie Team who were very unlucky to lose by the smallest of margins to Pobalscoil na Trionoide Youghal in the Intermediate Colleges ‘B’ County Final on Saturday last. A goal from Kate Cremin and points from Avabha Clifford left the Coláiste in a strong position at half time.

A Review of the School Transport Scheme is underway. If you are a parent/guardian , please take the Department of Education survey before February 10th.

Artist in the classroom took place on Tuesday 14th of December. Artist Bridget Kiely - Carey from Bruff Co. Limerick did amazing work with the 2nd year students. They produced wreaths using natural found materials and added in objects modelled in class on the day. Well done to all the students who took part and a special thanks to Bridget.

Third years celebrated Christmas in the Coláiste by participating in a Quiz. They were given some treats and a raffle took place. We wish the students a very happy Christmas and we are looking forward to seeing ye all back in the new year.
