Well done to the Senior Girls Football team on their first win of the group against St Peter's Passage. Overall, a very good performance by all the girls. A great start to the year and long may it continue!

Our U16 girls fought very hard in todays game against St. Marys Macroom but unfortunately the result did not go their way. Colaiste Mhuire 4-5 to St Marys 7-6. Well done to everyone involved.

Dear parent,

Coláiste Mhuire Board of Management would like to notify all parents and members of the school community that they have completed annual reviews of the school’s Child Safeguarding and Anti-Bullying Policies. These policies will be reviewed again in approximately 12 months time.

Some third year Religion students are taking part in the Crocus project. They planted crocuses recently to remember all the children that died in the Holocaust. We hope to see these bloom in March.

Recently our 2nd year music students had a great morning of music making with JJ O Riordan. The students explored creating music using everyday sounds in Garageband.
The only equipment used to make this sound are the following - A Business textbook, school journal, hairclip, a biro, music copy, pencil case and a ‘Yeah’ from the lovely Madison O’Riodran Murphy.

Well done to our 2nd Year boys who played Coláiste Treasa Kanturk yesterday in a football friendly match. Excellent skill level, determination and teamwork shown by all the lads. Well done!

The Colaiste girls and the 2nd year boys football teams were out training in huge numbers on our school pitch. Players displayed great skill and enthusiasm.

Some of our sixth year students attended a Leaving Certificate Chemistry Master Revision Day on Saturday last in UCC. They covered both theory and practical sections of the syllabus in the state of the art Labs. Hugely beneficial and enjoyable day.

Our new students really enjoyed their first day. New friends made and their iPads were set up properly with each student to allow easy transition to their new school.

Today we welcomed our 1st year class of 2021 to the Colaiste. In the morning each class group had their school induction with their class teachers followed by their iPad induction. Student were set up with their iPads and Ebooks

We installed new dividers into all student toilets for last years school year to ensure we can utilise all of our facilities and remain safe. Additional new hand dryers were also fitted.

The Colaiste are delighted to be welcoming back students next week starting with our new group of 1st Years on Monday morning for their iPad induction. Our campus has added ‘meet and eat’ outdoor areas that allow students to gain fresh air even when the weather is wet. Hand sanitisers are located all around the school. See you all very soon.
