Free Parent drop in service

This is new pilot project set up in conjunction with Tusla and the Mallow/Charleville Child and Family Support Network. The Drop-In service is developed to provide advice and support to Parents/Carers of children up to the age of 18, and will run once per month.

On Friday 13th December the 2nd year students enjoyed a Coláiste Christmas breakfast.  They ate, laughed, and then completed by a quiz - compered by MC Mr Ó Súilleabháin.  It was a throughly successful morning!  A big thanks to all the teachers who got involved with the organisation.

When selecting books for your son/daughter, Children’s Books Ireland can be a very helpful resource. Each year they recommend books which are then posted on their website. The 2019/20 recommend reads will be posted in late January 2020 but previous years are available on their website now. Shoeboxes for the Homeless

The 5th and 2nd Year English classes made up shoeboxes as Christmas gifts for the homeless in Cork. They also donated lots of toiletries. They were thrilled to get the donations. Well done to everyone involved.

Second Year Metalwork Winners SDG

Some excellent design and investigative work from 2nd Year Metalwork students in their design and manufacture and presentation of a wind turbine highlighting Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) no. 7 (affordable and clean energy). Best design went to Luke Linehan and Siobhan Kennedy.

Our U14 hurlers had a match today in Fermoy GAA grounds against Coláiste an Chaoibhin. They were narrowly beaten with the final score - Col an Chaoibhin 4:06 Colaiste Mhuire 4:04. The game was very close through out.
