DEIS Status
DEIS status means that our school qualifies for a range of extra resourses which help us to support all students on a daily basis. DEIS schools benefit from:
a lower pupil teacher ratio than non-DEIS schools ensuring that our class sizes are smaller than average.
additional staffing resources aimed at Student Support outside of the classroom (eg. JCSP Co-ordinator, Home School Community Liason Person, School Completion Co-ordinator). Such personel provide a host of extra supports for students and parents on an ongoing basis.
Additional funding to provide services such as:
Breakfast Club
Lunchtime Activities
Hot Lunches
Homework Club
Student Support
